NUVALI hosts the year's first The North Face Thrill of the Trail on February 14. The trail marathon is part of the NUVALI Outdoor Adventure series which promote active outdoor lifestyles for people who seek exploration, discovery, and enthralling experiences for overall mind-body balance.

Following in the footsteps of the successful Dirt Weekend event is the introduction of a new route for marathon participants. With its interesting terrain and incredible views, NUVALI is ripe for those in for an adventure. Gear up and get ready to fall in love on Valentine's Day along the 22K and 11K routes. Thrill of the Trail FAQs (Frequently Asked Questions)

  1. Is there any registration booth during the race day for late registration?

None, there will be no on-site registration.

  1. When is the deadline for registration?

Registration deadline is on Jan 28 2010. Race Kit claim period will be on Feb.3 - 13 at respective points of registration. A race briefing will be held at R.O.X on Feb 11, 2010, 7.30pm. Race briefing is recommended but not required.

  1. What is included in the race kit?

Race Kit includes: bib number, singlet, race map and other detailed information. Due to some glitch in production, release of some singlets will be delayed until before the race day. We apologize and hope for your understanding.

  1. Are there any cash prizes to be won?

Prizes will be in the form of GCs or products from The North Face, Nalgene, Sea to Summit and other sponsors. Premium raffle items can also be won by lucky participants. For breakdown, click here.

  1. Is there an organized transportation going to NUVALI for those who will not be bringing cars?

Limited number of bus seats courtesy of NUVALI will be available from R.O.X. and Balibago Terminal during the event date. First come, first served basis shall be employed. Schedules are as follows:

Yes.

  1. Will you allow participants to camp out the night before the race?

Yes, the open space across the Evoliving center will be designated as camping area.

  1. Will there be dedicated parking for participants?

Yes, there will be enough parking spaces.

  1. Will there be cut-off times?

3 hours for 22k, none for 11K (just have fun)!

    • 22K – 5:45 am; Montecito Gate; Runners will be ferried from Solenad/base camp to starting line by 5.15am
    • 11K – 6:00 am; Solenad o Finish line (11K & 22K) : Solenad o Awarding: 10a

February 3– February 13 2010 (at respective points of registration)

  1. Race Briefing:

Feb 11, Thurs, 7.30pm @ ROX; recommended but not required.
